I had gd it was difficult to eat the right foods and remember to take your medicine and to take sugars but got through it with no issues. You will probably have to hand express and freeze some colostrum before baby is born and take to the hospital as this help to regulate their sugar levels after birth. I was on tablets during the day and insulin at night. The only thing that scared me was when he was born and he had to go to nicu to have his foot pricked every couple of hrs to check his sugars were fine. Which they regulated beautifully. Dont be scared as long as its been taken care of baby should be fine. Oh and look forward to the frequent scans to see how baby is doing I loved it =) congrats and good luck
Stay positive...I also have GD and I'm 31w pregnant. Just keep checking your sugars, make sure you eat right, and always remember to take your meds (insulin and /or pills). Something I found very helpful is to have someone there for you..talk, listen o have a shoulder to cry on, in my case its my husband.
