Thank you guys so much. Love baby shopping, wishing and being able to get the discount on what isnt purchased.
I just had my baby shower this past Saturday. We registered at babies r us, target, and amazon. We got more items that were not off our registry than ones that were. We got mostly clothes and we did not register for clothes on purpose because we figured people were going to get them anyway.
We didn't have very many optionswith my first pregnancy, but we did have a Babies R Us. We did a registry there, Burlington coat Factory, and Walmart (so people had a cheaper option.) I think most people associated Babies R Us with babies best or maybe it's just that they really do have a bigger selection, but most bought from there and I'm not sure if anyone bought from Walmart unless it wasn't from our registry. I heard Buy Buy Baby is really good too. You also have Target if you live by one. We moved away from family recently and are having our second so we are actually doing a small registry on Amazon. A lot of family members have memberships (and are all moving around the country themselves) so it just seemed easier. You can get discounts at most places for what's left over on the registry too. I know BRU and Amazon for sure will. Just ask around where you live, because unfortunately not all guest think your list is important and you may need to buy some items yourself. It happened to us.
I don't know where you live but "Babies R Us" has the best selections if you live near one
