I'd wait till after the first trimester. After that a small glass of wine with dinner is fine... women in europe are told 1 glass of wine a day, and the states has higher rates of fetal alcohol syndrome despite the zero booze policy. Just make sure it is a small glass and you drink it slowly with food .
I would just stay away from all alcoholic drinks...
All these people are against wine but ive heard its actually good for the baby. But just red wine and after the first trimester
I would not drink anything in your first trimester. The placenta isn't developed and the wine won't be filtered. During your second trimester you can have a glass 5oz of red wine but limit it to once a week if you feel you have to.
I was quite a avid drinker before getting pregnant. but I strictly avoided alcohol for 32 weeks now, and I must say that I dont even miss it anymore. I even dealt with the death of my 12yr old dog without drowning my sorrows in booze (like I wud have if I weren't pregnant).
the pleasure from a glass of wine really isnt worth the worry about whether or not it might harm the baby and then feeling guilty etc. I rather have the right to say I did everything I cud to have a healthy baby, and the rest is in god's hands. there will be enuf time later on to drink a glass of wine, or a bottle ;-)
Definitely nooo ! Love your baby and protect your baby health and yours as well . Respect this precious journey !
No I don't think any amount of alcohol is safe during pregnancy no matter how far along you are
I would stay away at least until after the 1st trimester. Because they always say no amount is safe. Some people do and everything is fine - but it's hard to tell which baby might be extra sensitive or not. Plus some people take a glass of wine at 3oz. But some say a glass is 8 oz. I wouldn't be comfortable suggesting any more than 3 oz once per week. And measuring that out, don't guess ya know? Ask your Dr what they think is good for you :)
I agree, the first trimester is very important, u do not want anything happen to ur little one.
I would definitely stay away...especially in your 1st trimester...
