Occasionally is fine. I really recommend the book Expecting Better, it was written by a professor who examined all the studies into what pregnant women should and shouldn't do.
It turns out a lot of the rules (like "No alcohol! Ever!") are *not* supported by the evidence.
Having one 8 to 12 oz glass of wine once or twice a month is fine. It best to drink while eating so you have food in your stomach. Red is also the best. Helps clean the toxins out your body.
My doctor admitted to drinking wine occasionally when she was pregnant and I had a half a glass at one of my baby showers...but watch out it affected me like I had a lot more! So I haven't drank any since, I didn't like that I felt so tipsy off a small amount.
Ive hadthe ocassional glass of Merlot since i was 3 weeks and i have just had a 16 week MW visit and my baby is very active and healthy....
One of my family members goes to a fancy specialist out of Dallas TX.
She told her that at 8months it was perfectly fine to have a glass of wine a few days a week.
I have 3 perfectly healthy babies an one more on tge way. An occasional glass of red wine won't hurt the baby. I personally always stuck to a half a glass instead of a whole glass. An very rarely
'No sushi' is another rule that is not supported by evidence.
I still eat it and I ate it with my first baby too. So do all the mums in Japan....
Ok i don t drink ever but i eat sushi tons of sushi and no sushi for 9 months not even one. I miss it but I just deal With it. Try to avoid drinking its for the health of your little baby :)
Well that's the case - I did ask 3 different ones and the opinions were different among them.
One of them said it's even fine to drink glass of red wine occasionally therefore it boosts up the blood stream.
Thanks @hkjen I'll get a read!
