I was on pitocin for 19 hours during labor ( no epidural as well).  They took me off at that point to give me a break, and my body really found its rhythm.  At that point, a combination of pregnancy ball, whirlpool tub, and just moving around took care of the rest.  It was a very good experience.  Good luck.  Just remember to go with the flow and try to stay relaxed...your body will know what to do!

Rock on! I didn't get one either and I started on pitocin. For a softer experience in your natural childbirth endeavor I would still consider asking if they can take you off. 24 hours is a long time. Enjoy the ride no matter what happens. Pain is temporary. Marvel at what your body will do and don't eat anything you don't mind throwing up. I snuck a honey bear in and ate it when no one was in the room. Sustained me for my 19 hours of labor.

Ask if they will go slow with the pitocin. And see if they will remove you from it once your body has found a rhythm.  This is how we did with my first and it was a pleasant experience. I do know that once your waters break the pitocin effects will hit you like a Mack truck. Try getting off the pitocin before they break your waters it they need to. Good luck!! I hope it starts naturally before Wednesday!!
