i take the test July 14th and was wondering what is it for and why I need to take it also some good advice

Usually you do not eat before the test...they also don't usually give it to you cold because the cold with boost metabolism and skew results...good luck! Check with your dr about the eating thing...if your fasting sugar is too high they won't do the rest of the test.

The test is a way for them to screen you for gestational diabetes. It's an important test for you and your little one. Eat a light non sugary breakfast before you go. Make sure the drink they give you is cold. Beat of luck. You'll do fine

It's to see of you have gestational diabetes. It's important because if you have it and goes untreated there are a lot of things that could happen to your baby even stillbirth. It's really not that bad of a test you drink a sugary drink then they test your blood sugar level
