I get what you are saying.  I don't get wanting to induce a month or more before you are due. The lungs aren't even fully developed. That's not opinion, it's fact. I completely get being tired from the pregnancy but I think too early isn't a good idea.

Once I hit 35-36 weeks I will be starting to try and Induce myself. But That's me.

Also, I dont think you were trying to be particularly mean spirited, it's just that after using this app for 9 months now and seeing posts start off like this so often, I know it always turns into a bashing fest type thing generally.

Well honestly I think if that's the case then, maybe instead of your original post you could say "What are some reasons women want to, or have, induced before 35 weeks?" And left it as a simple judgement free question about the thing you actually are curious about, and not instead ask "am I the only one..", which isn't really asking for these womens preterm inducing stories at all. A lot of women who've actually had experience with that probably would had shared their stories.

Some of yal r reading to much into this post ... all I was saying was idk understand why someone would want to induce on their own so early and I mean b4 35 weeks early not 36 to 40... and yes I drank castor oil with my previous pregnancy and not on my own I did it with the suggestion of my doctor I was 41 weeks

@octoberpumpkin I'm just so tired of posts like these all the time on this forum, like you said, whether you would do something personally yourself or not, being judgemental of another womans choices is just ridiculous and sad! Women on here start bashing each other in threads all the time for the most silly things simply because they aren't doing the same thing. It's so strange.

Well in my cases..my 1st and oldest child was carried to full term 40 wks...and i started having lots of pain around 35 wks...and baby wasn't move much no more...but 2 lumps stick out of my belly...doctors assumed it could be twins. .cause my mother is a twin...i had 3 OB doctors due to the 1st 2 moving to help out in other countries...so my last doctor keep telling me it was normal pain as long as I wasn't bleeding. ..well at 40 wks I was in the hospital and still hr wanted to send me home...but a delivery doctor on the floor who I didn't know. ..said he relize something was wrong and induced me that night....as I started to push we relized she was stuck her knees would not go thru my pelvic. ...i was pushing for about 3 hrs...in different positions and baby twisted and moved her around  till finally she came but she was born with her several club feet that the last few wks had been pushed up against my ribs and causing they to form and harden in the position she was stuck inside of me...from the 2nd day of her life she started reconstruction surgery. .they told me she would never walk....and all because the doctor did not want to check on my baby ...they said she could have been born as early as 36 wks and maybe legs would not have to be so sever...she was born at 9 lbs 1 oz...so now my doctors have delivered my 3 other boys 3 wks early. ...so yea that's my reason for induced labor...hope this gives some understanding

I'm confused, in the thread where a woman who was full term (she is 39 weeks, and between 37 and 42 is considered full term), PregoRita you admitted to using Castor Oil yourself for a previous pregnancy and advised her on the dosage. So what is the point of this thread that you started? I'm honestly just confused.

Clearly the woman wasn't stating she wanted to use castor oil at say, 32 weeks, she is 39, so unless I missed another thread about a woman who was preterm asking about castor oil, I don't know why you started this slightly judgemental post.

I don't quite understand either. We've all made it this far and have had to endure patience the whole time, why get to the very end and purposefully impose induction methods on yourself just so you can hold/see your baby. Baby is going to come regardless. 40 weeks is what the true length of a pregnancy is why are people not waiting until 40 weeks is beyond me. Full term has now become 39 weeks instead of 37 however you're not truly done with pregnancy until your body says so unless there are medical issues. Folks seem to have selfish reasons for self inducement rather than baby and body in mind. Not to mention you run the risk of medical intervention by forcing your body into labor before it's ready. Tired of being pregnant as a reason is ignorant.

Some of us aren't as lucky and don't get to experience a natural labor process my pelvic area is narrow and because of that my doctor wants to let it happen on it's on and give it all the way up until 42 weeks. My first was born 40+5 with episotomy and vacuum assist and I still almost had an emergency c section. So now that I'm 39 weeks and know she's generally healthy I will try everything within reason so ease the non stop pain. Be glad you're not suffering like some.

Im 33 weeks and miserable morning sickness has returned im stuck in bed basically with my left leg paralyzed fue to baby being on nerve. I haven't even taken so much as a Tylenol since ive been pregnant because I want a healthy baby . My doctor said she's head down and perfectly healthy, so she will induce me after 37 weeks and im ready! Why suffer in pain when baby is healthy?

I am 38 weeks and I wish nothing more than my baby to come. I have gestational diabets and SPD so severe that I cant walk or roll over in bed without crying. Even though ive had a tough pregnancy, I am not ready to try castor oil or anything like that. I am firm believer that babies wont come until ready.

I'm not saying I would try to induce myself, for me personally, I am waiting. But instead of making a post talking about other women, maybe try to post on a thread talking about induction and ask questions. There is a difference between not understanding, and not wanting to understand.

I'm with pregorita. I have had 9 lb baby. I am high risk, I have gd this time around, round ligament pain, baby is on my sciatic nerve and I have shooting pains and numbness on my right side, having all that I would never dream of rushing my little ones birth. I want her to grow healthy and strong for as long as she is suppose to be in there :)

She did not judge she said she does not understand. So if you were one to try to induce naturally (not by doctors orders) what is the reason. Not understanding comes education. Whether you are at 40 and do no want pitocin , so you try to induce. Others may feel they cannot handle it anymore. Im sure there are many reasons. She is only wondering.

I believe your body should go when it's ready unless there are other issues. I have friends that are induced on their due date because their just done being pregnant. Inducing before the baby is ready for its arrival can often knead to c-sections. Everyone is different but I agree it shouldn't be done unless there is a specific need!
