I had heartburn and acid reflux so bad and nothing worked all those so called home remedies don't work for everybody so my Dr prescribed some Omeprazole substituted for Prilosec and it really helps as long as u take it everyday like you're supposed to. Talk with your Dr about it because sometimes those home remedies can make it worse. Good luck.

Fresh Grapefruit works wonders reliving Heartburn and indigestion. I eat one a day. The relief last all day, if I get to busy and forget to eat one, its not a problem because it prevents the return for several days.

Try it, I doubt you will ever worry about Heartburn ever again. Plus its ALL NATURAL♥

The only thing that helps me control the lava that burns through my chest is a pint of milk and loads of ice that i sip at for a long time. I have a breech baby and i constantly have heartburn so have to make sure we stock up on milk or i get sick and can't sleep  :(

I was taking papaya pills and they worked in the beginning (you can get them at gmc).. but after a while it stopped working... eat smaller meals throughout the day, never have a completely empty or full stomach, dont eat before bedtime. ... if that doesnt work (cause it didnt for me) I had the doctor prescribe zantac...

Several options, some require you to talk with your provider before trying. Tablespoon of vinegar (gross, but works), glass of milk, tums/rolaids, Zantac/Prevacid.

You can take otc zantac, tums, maalox, mylanta and pepcid. If it's really bad and none of those help you can see if your doctor is ok with something like prevacid or prilosec. I take prevacid and am blissfully heartburn free
