Can depression happen during pregnancy?

Hi ladies well my question is can depression happen during pregnancy.? I'm asking because I have lately been having really bad anxiety and panic attacks.  And to top it off I'm happy one minute and I get sad the next minute and start crying out of no where I get sad and feel like justttaking off and run from everyone and everything. :( and I know this is not right.  I don't know why I'm going through this because I'm okay with my husband and I have a 18 month old and I'm 23 weeks pregnant so I don't know why.
I'm definitely going to talk about this to my doctor I need to but has any of these things happen to any of you ladies?

From the research I have done, this affects a small percentage of women but you are not alone. My symptoms were different but if you look up prenatal or antenatal depression you can check your symptoms. You should already be doing things to treat it like exercising (walking) and good diet and lots of rest through regular prenatal care. So to still feel down when you are doing everything right warrants that conversation with the Dr. They can give medication but counseling has been very helpful. Counseling is a way to find your patterns and work on them and stress levels.
