My doctor told me to use hydrocortisone cream OTC for hives and rashes. Not sure how much higher the dose is for suppositories though, plus they are absorbed internally rather than externally so you probably get a higher dosage because of that, too. Either way it kooks like there is some risk of birth defects from low doses, if you do some research. (Kinda angry now that my doc told me to use the cream without warning me.)
I got them with my first pregnancy during labor. I've always been constipated but never got them till I was having my daughter. Now every time I get a bit extra constipated it makes it worse.
I figured there must be others here with hammerhoids as well that have gotten stuff from their dr.. I emailed my Dr and I should get a response by tomorrow I just wanted some quick relief.
If you come here for that kind of advice. Then honestly dont use it. Google it. Read about it and prego. It may harm the fetus. Is that a risk you want. Dont push poo. Use a stool to prop feet. Wait for it to easily come out. Even if your constipated. I have had probs with hems since I was a child. Then in my 20s I Learned how to poo proper lol. Needless to say its worked.
Yes for hammerhoids. They are suppose to help with the irritation and inflammation and honestly I noticed they helped me go before. And I've been in so much pain trying lately. I seen them and thought maybe I should take one.
You are referring to hydrocortisone acetate for hemmroids right?
Hydrocortisone? I'm sure that's used for itching, not sure why u are trying to use it for but that's considered a class C drug so u can't use it while pregnant
K thanks. Really appreciate the fast response
Yes, they should be safe. I was prescribed them by my OB.
