HELP! When should I go in?

Nobody likes to answer the phones at l& s  in the middle of the night it seems. Okay so I'm 40+ 1, been having contractions since 9 am yesterday, they just haven't been very consistent, anywhere from 15 to 34 minutes apart. I'm gbs+, when should I go in? It's 330am so I don't want to wake my ride up just to get there and be told to wait longer and go back in, help!

I went in at 530, I was three cms so they asked me to walk for an hour, it's 540 pm now and I'm 8 cms! Had a hell of a time, epidural fell out at 5 cms so labored naturally until 7 which was when the anesthetist could get back in  to fix it. It was hard, but now that the epidural is back in this is easy!

Good luck Katie- sounds like you're underway now. Plus being 40+1 they will likely want to get the ball rolling. I wouldve gone in too, just to let you know. Keep us posted!

Thank you ladies, I'm having contractions every ten to fifteen minutes so I'm heading in now just to be safe. I didn't know if the three in ten minutes would still apply for gbs+ so better safe then sorry

Hi there. I'm in Australia - not sure where you're from but my local hospital always encourages people to go in if in doubt. It is better to go in unnecessarily than it is to wait and something happen or it be too late before you go. Because its better to be safe than sorry! The person youve chosen to take you must be someone you know and trust so I'm sure they wouldn't mind if its a false alarm. I would go in if I were you just in case. Good luck!
