I would make sure they're inducing you for a good reason is all I'm saying. They all are inducing my best friends sister in law because they said the baby's heart rate dropped to low but have done nothing since early Thursday except insert the medicine vaginally, give her IV petocin and give her some oral med every 4 hours to try to induce her.

I'm 31 weeks, and my doctors want to induce me at 38 weeks.

I was induced at 8 mths with no issues. If it's necessary I wouldn't be worried. They don't 'shove you full of drugs' right away unless there is Good reason baby needs out. They usually do a sweep then insert this thing (looks like a flat hard tampon.. So weird) to put pressure on the cervix and hopefully start the process enough. If they can't get you to start labour after a day or 2 they then put you on a hormone drip which causes you to go into labor...usually the 'faux tampon' works

I'm 39 weeks Monday. Dr wants me to go on my own if possible. My best friends sister in law went in to be induced early (38 weeks) and has been getting drugs shoved into her for three days now with no baby yet... unless there is something wrong with you or the baby... wait it out. Petocin can drastically impact the baby. Look up the side effects. Idk why so many drs are pushing up inductions lately.

I am 38 weeks i will get induced at 39 weeks, why are you going to be induced so early?
