Had my baby

My baby was due on 24th Feb but I started having contractions from 1am last night. I went into hospital at 7.30am and they told me I was 4 cm dilated and as I had a previous fast labour with my son that it be best to stay in the hospital and straight to a delivery room. By then my contractions were so strong I sat on an exercise ball feeling so much pressure that my waters broke in a gush. A few moments later when the midwife checked me she said I was 10cm dilated and that the head was on its way. With a few pushes not only did the head come out but so did the rest of the body.

I am the proud mummy of a beautiful baby girl and completely in love with her.

Thank you everyone. It was definitely a quick delivery. I found controlled breathing with gas and air helpful and having my husband constantly ask how far along I was which made us feel in control and calm in terms of how far along we were progressing...it certainly helps you cope better with the pain.
