15-5% of women have it. It is just bacteria. Nothing weird.  And even having it if you didn't get the antibiotics you'd only have a 1 in 200 chance of passing it to baby at delivery.

They will hook you up to antibiotics and you'll be all good.  Even being allergic to penicillin.

Yep I had that with my last 2 pregnancies. Not an issue they just administer an antibiotic prior to delivery

I hear ya. I'm 38+4 being induced 11/17 - and I have it too and also allergic to penicillin. I was nervous about that too but they said they will give me another type of antibiotics. I just hope everything goes well because I'm scared, nervous about being induced. Had first son 7 years ago natural, and no strep!

Thanks everyone!  Being that I am allergic to penicillin that made me worry.

Typically they want you to have the IV antibiotics 4hrs before baby is born, though my labors aren't even that long, last one I didn't have antibiotics at all... Both my babies were 100% alright.
Don't worry mama... Everything will be alright :) nothing to really worry about

It's not a big deal.  The doc will just give you antibiotics right before delivery.
