Has anyone had experience with an empty sac?

I went to the dr yest for my initial apt. Based on lmp I should be almost 9wks. The sac measured 6wks and contained no yolk sac or fetal pole. It was just an empty oval on the screen. I was told either it's still too early or that I'm having an anembryonic pregnancy/early miscarriage. Has anyone gone through this with positive outcomes? I'm preparing myself for the worst but can't help but cling to some hope.

I just went thru this I'm still not 100% sure how far along I am. I got 3 positive tests then I had cramping no bleeding do I went to er. And I was told the same exact thing you were told. But I knew I wasn't 100% sure of the 1st date of my last LMP which a lot of people go by. So I scheduled an appt with my doc who confirmed the pregnancy and gave me an appt for another US which I just had and my baby had grown way beyond just s sac it now has a heartbeat . don't let anyone give unneeded stress it's not good .for your baby if your not bleeding which I was told would happen it it continued to be just a sac then chances are you and baby are fine its just to early to see it all . I waited about 3 more weeks to do a repeat US. All the while I still took tests that came up positive. I really hope everything is ok for you. Based on your post I believe it is . think positive go with your intuition. Best wishes,
