Having contractions but I don't feel them

I'm 5 1/2 cm & I'm in labor and delivery hooked up to the monitor , watching my contractions go up like crazy , but I don't feel much ..  could it be bc my water hasn't broke yet ? With my other 2 I had contractions before my water broke so Idk if it could be different this time ... plus I'm only 80 % effaced .. Idk if that could affect it .

Man I'm beyond envious right now I would luv to be 5 1/2 cm with contractions n not feel anything! This sounds like the ideal way to be admitted into L&D.
