Having two girls - hubby reaction

So we had a Peekaboo ultrasound done for the twins a couple days ago and they said they were very confident that they both are girls! I'm excited! I was hoping for 1 of each but very happy. We have a 2 year old son and this is it for us.

My hubby was very quiet during the u/s and I could tell he was diappointed. But I didn't worry because I was initially disappointed when we found out we were having a boy but now I just love boys and he is the best and so glad we had him first.

Yeterday I asked him about it and he says he just doesn't know what to look forward to. He said with our son it was sports and working on cars, tool, outside stuff, etc and with girls it's tutus and dresses. Lol

I explained he could do all those things with girls too and that they would.love their daddy so.much. but he's still a little bummed.

Anyone go through this with their men? Any encouraging words I could offer? I know once they are here he is going to be over the moon and be there protector. But he's just a bit down now and it makes me sad.

My husband was bummed out throughout the whole pregnancy. He would see dad's with their sons and he would make a comment about it.i just left him alone. You can't help what he's feeling. When she was born everything changed. Our daughter is 4 now and they have a bond like no other. I always joke around that they are obsessed with each other and I'm the third wheel. Lol

Lol with my first hubby wanted a boy.. We got a diva.. Super smart keeps him on his toes and since she was a few mths old we have her in middle of everything he is doing or bringing him water. Girls adore their dad. He will not have a dull moment.  Now we are having a boy and he says the boy is mine lol.

My husband builds houses, is into cars, motorcycles, 4wheeling and body building.  He wanted a boy.  We ended up having a girl then our second was a girl as well. Lol
He changed his mind quick....he is so in love with them. They snuggle with him at night time and look up to him as there protector.  They do the tutu thing too haha, but he could not stop laughing at how cute they were at their recital and the way their faces lit up when he brought them flowers.  Everyone stops him when he is out with them to tell him how beautiful they are.  He is on cloud 9!!!  The Girls think he is super man and he just loves it. Girls can do the same things boys do too!  Mine enjoy spending time with their dad four wheeling and off roading in his truck, Helping him build things, playing sports, playing with trucks, going to car shows and races, fishing etc. Kids enjoy spending time with their parents no matter what they do.  Everything is fun to them!  We are pregnant with our 3rd and he said he honestly doesn't care if it's a girl or a boy because he has such a good relationship with the girls!  I'm sure it will be the same with your hubby too once he sees it for himself.  Spend time with them doing the things you enjoy and they will enjoy it too as well as spending the time with him!

Oh and yes he is worried about other boys too and that he'll have to deal with them dating his daughter haha. But I told him that is so far away and they'll have a big brother that the boys have to get through first! lol

Tell him how much you adore and love your father and daughters always have a srong bond to their fathers..
Something to look forward to :)

Also it doesn't have to be tutu's and dresses..
Could be healthy to get a new perspective on how girls are..because, not all of them are like that.

Don't worry, he will see..

We are having a girl and my hubby is thrilled! :)

Aw good. I'll show him these posts. I k ow that he will realize it once they are here but he's so boy focused that the doesn't see what the future can hold. I love cars, I can change my own oil and tires, I play video games with him and I will watch a football game if need be lol. His family is very boys do boy things and girls do girl things which is why I think he has this idea that girls will only want to be a certain way. I decorate cakes here and there for some extra income and my son gets up on the counter, helps me mix and Crack eggs and pour in the ingredients. He loves sweeping and washing dishes and doing what previously had been only known as "girl" things. Lol in my house growing up everyone helped cook and clean and mow and do outdoor chores so it was never just a man thing or woman thing. I think that's why I don't see the issue he is struggling with lol.

I find out tomorrow if a boy or girl, but my husband is hoping for a boy.  Mainly because he says it's easier for him.  he says he understands boys whereas he would worry more when it comes to girls...because he understands boys and how they are, the thought of having a girl, especially in the teenage years, worries him...aka "I don't want any punk *** boy dating my little girl!!!"

Mt husband was disappointed for about 2 minutes when we found out our first was a girl. Then he reminded me that he was gonna have a daddy's girl. And boy is she ever. They have bond that I don't even understand.  Yes they have tea parties , which he fully participates in, but they also go fishing and she loves trucks and tractors and working on the farm with her daddy and papa. He really has the best of both worlds.

Awww.   My hubby actually wants girls.   He says that no matter what gender they are that he'll have them work on cars with him and whatever else he's into.   I thought that was so sweet.   Just remind him that daddies love their little girls and I'm sure that he will too.  :)
