Heartbeat

Hi Moms! Has anyone ever went to a doctor visit at 6 weeks and was told it was too early to hear the heartbeat? I have to go back next week, and I pray all day that I hear my babies heart at the next visit. This is my third pregnancy, and I have never found out so early about being pregnant.

My first ultrasound was around 5w4d and it was just an empty sac, no baby, no heartbeat. I was so scared. My gyno told me to come back in a week which was almost 7 weeks, and there my little been was with a strong heartbeat and all! Relax, your baby is still developing, it only takes a day to make a huge difference in the baby's size.

Yea that's way too early. You can't hear it on a Doppler you need to have a vaginal ultrasound done that early to see the heartbeat

Thank you so much Ladies! I failed to mention that when the Doppler monitor did not pick up the fhr, we did a tummy ultrasound and could not see my little baby. It was not until we did the vaginal ultrasound that we saw it. I'm not panicking, just trying to trust GoD! Thanks again!

Yes it's normal.. I didn't get to hear baby heart beat until like 12 weeks and even then it was a little hard to find no worries.. It also happen with my first pregnancy and both times at six weeks you can only see heartbeat through an ultrasound.

Read my posts lol... I went for an ultrasound at 5 weeks didn't know how far along I was... There was no signs of a pregnancy at all.... Then I was admitted into the hospital and they found my sac and fetal pole but no heartbeat with a hcg level of 22000 the er Dr was about to schedule a d and c and I refused.... Went for my ultrasound yesterday I am 9 weeks and 4 days with a heartbeat of 171 bpm.... This is also my third but I feel like its so brand new because my youngest is 8 years old.... Good luck mama try not to stress.... They won't hear the heartbeat at all for awhile you have to go to an ultrasound to see it.... Your in my prayers
