Heartburn and Zantac

I'm 24 weeks pregnant and have been having terrible heartburn for the last weeks. My doctor prescribed Zantac and I can take up to 2 tablets, one every 12 hours.

The thing is, today is the first day I had to take 2! These last days one was enough, and today, honestly, none of the tablets have worked. I'm so worried, plus, still have this heartburn and have no clue how to deal with it! It's so uncomfortable and painful! :(

Has any of you been through this? Did your doctor increase the dose? How are you ladies dealing with heartburn?

All advice is welcome! And thanks in advance for your answers

My Dr prescribed Zantac  75mg and they did nothing for me. I had to take two. Now he changed the dose to 150mg and they seem to be working most of the time. When they don't,  I drink milk and try to sit up. Laying down makes it worst. Hope you feel better!

I'll talk to my doctor on our next appointment see if I can take 2 together before going to sleep instead of 1. Thanks!

Any of you have tried natural medicine (acupuncture, etc) for heartburn?
