Help labor start

I'm almost 38 weeks. And I'm wondering what are ways to help my labor start? I haven't been having much contractions and I'm slowly losing my mucus plug . Any help?

Nothing will work if your body and baby aren't ready.

Sorry I hit the post button without finishing and can't figure out how to edit my previous comments...
Oxtocin is a hormone similar to pitocin which helps with dilation.
Other things I've ready are eating spicy foods, and nipple stimulation.
Before you try anything, you should always ask your doctor.

I will be 40 weeks in Wednesday and I have been trying it all. Everything I have read says walking is great, also walking up and down stairs. Semen may help soften your cervix and orgasm release oxytocin

I found that with my past three pregnancies walking helped a lot. It's also good for easing pain or issues with labor. Good luck! I'm 35 weeks and so ready so I'm sure you are beyond ready.
