My sister in law had a ready to pop theme for my last shower ... She had cake pops, Pop corn with like a frosting kind of coating, pop, water, blow pops I can't remember the rest ...
Yes ladies my baby shower start s from 4 pm to 7:30 pm . So I'm planning ..
I wanted something different than Thr classic meat cheese and veggie trays... plus I can't get enough Mexican food during my pregnancy... my best friend did a taco bar! Crock pot full of taco meat, one of beans, and all the toppings..... it was a HUGE hit!
I've Aso been to a shower where they had a baked potato bar, that was yummy too. And less expensive than all trays especially if you have a larger guest list.b
At my baby showers we had a lunch meat tray and my mom made rigatoni.
I like finger foods for small crowds if it's all girls. My baby showers were coed and there was over 100 pple at both of my showers so my husband made carne Asada with beans and rice. But this time I want it more of an actually baby shower just girls and do finger foods. I love stuffed jalapeƱos wrapped in bacon they're so good! Or puff pasty Brie cheese with walnuts served with bread, fruit platters, veggies, little quiches you can get at Costco or trader joes, and then what's been a big hit is a desert table so instead on one big cake do a tier stand with mini cupcakes, then different candies in different size jars and other petite deserts. That's what I'm gonna do this time around.
Checkout pinterest. I had a bunch of ideas spring up from that site!
For drinks, i had strawberry lemonade and coffee.
I had a sit down dinner.
mashed potatoes, meatloaf, green beans, corn, pasta, salad, cake.
cookies are an easy way to go, along with brownies or cake pops.
Sandwhiches are easy, chex mix, cheese and crackers.
We did simple at my baby shower. A crockpot of sloppy joes, chips, veggies and dip, a fruit platter, cookies and cupcakes. For drinks we had my grandmother's punch recipe. Frozen orange juice, pineapple juice and lemonade mixed with sprite ginger ale and water to taste.
Pinwheel sandwiches, veggie trays, fruit trays, cupcakes . . . Finger foods are always a huge hit at baby showers. Easy for everyone to try a little and not feel uncomfortable about going back for more! Also using sparkling cider for "virgin" mamosas was awesome at a shower I went to a couple years ago.
The little bow cocktail weenies are yummy. There is a bacon wrapped weenies.
Chicken, broccoli and ziti alfredo is usually a big hit at gatherings. My family likes to add shrimp, too :)
