ultrasound accuracy???

So according to my lmp my due date is 3-24-15 (if based on a 28 day cycle) making me 8wk 6days today.  By my calculations of when I think conception took place (hubby and I work different shifts and arent home together much.. and I took several weekend trips without him in july) my due date would be around mar 30th (making me 8 wk today).  My cycles have been as long as 34 days so that would fit.  Anyway, I had my ultrasound today and the ultrasound lady said im measuring at 6 wk 2 days making my due date april 12.  My cycles are never that long (bc that date adds 2 1/2 weeks to my cycle!) and that date would put conception date when I was gone for a long weekend and had no sex!  Lol... so how accurate are early ultrasounds for dates?  Is it bad that baby measures @ 6 wks when im pretty sure im 8? ?

With my son I was on the pill and not keeping track of cycles and Didn't know when my lmp was so  I had nothing to compare ultrasound measurements to.  Plus I found out later so there was less first trimester nervousness and worry..

Thanks.. I guess im just a-discouraged that I might be 2 wks behind where I thought I was.. ready for first trimester to be over lol and b-concerned if baby is smaller than it should be!

All ultrasounds are just an estimate even the early ones. They all have human error in them. Hope that helps.
