Cooking in a cast iron skillet can help, but if your iron is really low, then supplementing is probably best

I was put on tablets and started eating high fiber food to stay clear of constipation. Was told I won't get enough iron thru my diet if I try high iron food and I needed the pills.

Lots of nuts (that's sounds very naughty lol) but they are great in building a healthy iron level in pregnancy!! Lots of green vegetables!! Red meat (not horse though please lol)!! Now I have a weird juice blend that helps as well...fresh red beats, Orange juice and spinach. Fresh, blended in a blender. Drink it twice a day, add almonds!!!! A total blast of iron, it helped with energy level due to the anemia as well!!

You can get iron supplements from any store that sells vitamins. But I will tell you most people have issues with them, getting very sick a nd constipated. Getting iron though iron rich vegetables is much, much better for you.
