High Hemoglobin results.

Hi Ladies.  I'm currently 6.5 weeks pregnant and I had a miscarriage about 3 months ago.
My doctor has been taking extra precautions and he said my hemoglobin level is higher than it should be. My husband has to go today for blood work to make sure his hemoglobin levels are not high too. It could cause complications for the baby. Has anyone ever been through this and what was the outcome? I'm 30 and very healthy.

Thank you for your response. They are checking our hemoglobin levels to make sure the baby can't get sickle cell anemia :( My levels are high and we are waiting for my husbands results. I will keep you posted. We have a healthy happy 14 month old and he doesn't have it so I truly think we will be fine. I've never worried about a pregnancy before. But losing our second at 10weeks shook me up a bit. Staying positive :)

So sorry about your loss- I know how scary it can be to have lost one pregnancy and then be worried about losing another.  I don't know much about high hemoglobin- I know it can be a sign that something isn't right, but sometimes, it doesn't indicate that anything is wrong.  Let us know how you are.
