Well if your back hurts sleep on your side and put a thick pillow in between your legs. Your back might stop hurting as your pregnancy progresses. I'm 38 weeks and can sleep on my back with no problem but occasionally my back hurts so I sleep on my side.
Thanks all...now I think i ll ve a better sleep after many days.
Hi.. my due date is varing from jan 30 to feb 1st. Im a first time mom too... congrats...
You can sleep on your back as long as it's comfortable to you. Your body will tell you when it's an issue and you'll naturally want to change positions then. It is not a universal truth that sleeping on your back decreases blood flow to your baby, but it does happens to some women some of the time. If it's happening to you, you'll feel dizzy, short of breath, nauseous. You will then naturally change sleeping positions. It is important that you are getting your rest in whatever way is most comfortable! I am 29w and sleep on my back off and on throughout the night. (Got 10hrs of wonderful sleep last Saturday!) I noticed one time after first laying down on my back that I had some shortness of breath and was very uncomfortable. I shifted a bit to the left, felt better almost right away, and continued with my night. Trust your body!
im 12 weeks and 3 days just curious when is your set your due date? Im a first time mom. i sleep on my back with no problem the baby is too small so it is normal now.
The nor sleeping on ur back is because the baby is big enough to put pressure or the arteries taking blood flow to the baby. At 12 weeks the baby is too small for that.
I slept on my back through my whole pregnancy. My baby is 3weeks 2 days and perfectly fine and healthy.
Never had any pregnancy problems.
