Herbal teas

I'm 32 weeks along and being the winter months, I've really been craving a nice, hot cup of tea, so I did my research and found out that these sites all contradict themselves, some say certain herbal teas are fine in moderate amounts, others say don't drink any at all, so it's really confusing. So far, the only one that really seems to be recommended is rooibos tea, but I don't know where to find it. If anyone knows where I can find it, or has other teas that they've tried and had no problem with, please let me know which ones and where I can find em, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.

Here is an example for Red Clover Leaf tea "there are some studies that suggest taking red clover may affect fetal development".  Another herb to avoid is Rosemary steeped to medicinal strength.  It stimulates bleeding during menstruation so it's not good for pregnancy.  Teas with Skullcap should be avoided bc Skullcap is a mild nervine.  People use skullcap, valerian root, hops, and lemon balm as natural sedatives.  Vitex/chasteberries should also be avoided, they're recommended for helping one get pregnant...(they're bad for men) but they're not for already pregnant women.

So, I'm actually studying to become an herbalist.  I have cabinets FULL of loose leaf herbs to make herbal teas with but I refuse to drink any of them during pregnancy.  It's not JUST caffeine that is hthe potentially harmful ingredient.  You can look up the German Commission E to read about teas that have and haven't been established as "safe" for pregnant women.  I'm sure that as long as you steep for short amounts of time they should be fine.  Like I said though, from all the information I've gathered for my materia medica I still personally refuse to drink them.  I just stick to apple cider or hot cocoa.

I drink regular sweet tea just about everyday. I'm 33 weeks. My baby's perfectly healthy. There will also be stuff out there especially on the internet to scare u. I drank tea thru my whole first pregnancy as well. My daughters 7 now and healthy! If you're really worried about it. Drink non caffeineated teas. There's hot ginger teas that don't have caffeine in them. It helps with nausea. The caffeine is what isn't recommended while pregnant. But I crave tea and the baby is fine. So I wouldn't worry too much about it.
