My blood pressure has been high for the last 6 months I'm 6 weeks pregnant today and my OB wants to put me on medication.... Has anyone else been through this? I'm scared to have another miscarriage :(

I have had high blood pressure for about six or so years now. They have many safe blood pressure medications that you can take while pregnant. It is much better for and the baby if you take them as prescribed by your Dr. than having your blood pressure be too high. You should also watch your sodium intake as this can raise your blood pressure and try to do some sort of light exercise like walking as long as your Dr allows it.

I agree with tomorrow. ( that sounds cool lol) sorry.. just relax and take care of yourself. Take the meds. You can still have healthy baby while on bp meds. Stress will make your bp go up. Congrats on the pregnancy sweets.remember...relax. you will be fine. I knowyoure afraid of a miscarriage but try to keep a positive tude... I'll keep you in prayer.

I haven't had to deal with this but I'm going to guess that if your Dr wants go put you on BP med that the meds are safer for the pregnancy then having high blood pressure.
