Hip pain

I'm 20 weeks pregnant and I'm having bad hip pain.  I usually get it when I sleep at night. I have been sleeping with a body pillow since about 8 weeks. Usually the pain goes away pretty quick after I got up but today it feels like they are bruised or something and the pain has been all day. I have had hip pain with my 1st pregnancy but it was nothing like this.  Is there any exercises or something I can do to ease the pain? Thanks for the help ladies.

I too am experiencing this. Except for me it is both hips. I am now 8 1/2 months and it hasn't stopped.I also have a "twerk" in my left hip that I figured was from a pinched nerve or something. But it has only arrived since I've been pregnant. Most of the time when I stand up it hurts and feels like my hip is going out and I'm gonna fall. It is VERY annoying!

I slept with my body pillow doubled last night between my knees and I'm still in pain. I will have to try scissor strengths and see if that helps. I go to the Dr on Thursday so I can always ask him as well.

Try sleeping with a pillow in between your knees to keep them separated. 'scissor stretches' would help.

I find that a variation on lunges helps my hip pain. Mine is from the ligaments stretching, if that's what you think yours is from google lunges while pregnant to get a demonstration on how to do them, and not well, topple over lol.
