Hip pain!!!!

I am only 5 weeks pregnant,  is it normal for my hips to be hurting so much so soon????

This is my first pregnancy,  so I don't know what's normal yet!

My hips didn't start hurting until about 24 weeks, but my inner and outer thighs and groin were definitely really really sore from about 6-12 weeks.  But all of our bodies are different.  I'm carrying my baby in the front.  So I wonder if all those early pains are the body prepping for shifting to it's ideal baby carrying position.

It could also be bc right bow your body is surging with a crap ton of hormones that the relaxin in your body is causing your hips to flex too much.  In that case try some prenatal yoga and some hip strengthening poses.

You shouldn't be in a huge amount of pain , if you start to bleed, I then would call your doctor

I have these pains now at 21 weeks. I find that sleeping with a pillow between my knees helps.

Im ten weeks but experienced the same thing at five ...first pregnancy..small build equals pain early i think:) try first term pregnancy yoga videos..you can even find em on youtube

I didn't experience hip until a lot later, but possibly ur body is already getting in position. Ur hips definitely spread & shift with pregnancy.
