I had my baby turned - it worked. I was induced straight away so that there was no opportunity for baby to flip back. Unfortunately, labour didn't agree with me and I ended up with a c-section anyway. I went on to have a normal vbac 2 years later and there is no reason so far why I can't have another successful vaginal birth this time.
If I had my time over, I would've opted for the c-section straight away and will this time if baby ends up breech
Is this your first c section? If I have to get one and they just can't avoid it, I'm going to beg to be rendered unconscious. That's basically my only strategy at this point.
I kind of want to watch a c section video, because I don't want to have some majorly exaggerated idea of how it goes if it's not really as severe as I imagine. Sometimes I really try to work up the courage to watch a video, but I just freak out and start crying before I can even click on it :/
Can you tell I have anxiety troubles? lol
My baby was breech the whole time. She likes it that way. Spinningbabies.com has good advice. I did try the version, flipping the baby, but it didn't work. If the baby is your second or more, you have better odds of it working as well as if the baby is transverse. There are doctors that deliver breech babies. You may need to find a new doctor that is willing to do so. I am having my c-section to morrow.
I think you still have time to flip her. Just try the exercises and try not to stress too much about it :-)
Mine was breech until 36w 3d, I'm almost 38w now. I wouldn't worry too much.
I found out my baby was breeched when I was around 32w. I'm 38+ 2w and my doctor was successful with turning the baby and I can tell that she is still in a head down position.
@canadiana there are exercises that seem to be pretty helpful in getting baby turned around, I noticed that spinningbabies.com is a very popular website. I would guess that even if baby doesn't turn, it's good for stretching lol I've been looking at the site and wanting to try some of their exercises. I'm just a super skilled procrastinator.
@lindzmansfield I will look into a chiropractor, I also have scoliosis so maybe I could convince one to sneak in a tiny adjustment or two. That would be fantastic.
My Chiropractor is skilled in helping baby's flip. My baby was breech and he did à simple adjustment and he flipped by the next morning. I would do your research on Chiropractors in the area and see if one can help you. They are wonderful. Good luck
I have never delivered a baby yet, but I was reading somewhere that there are exercises you can do to coax your baby into the right position. Maybe look into that?
