Take a piece of ginger and boil it in a saucepan with some water, about two cups. Boil it till the water is the color of pee (sorry for the imagery) and mix it with honey. You could add some rosemary to the water also.
I had cold a couple weeks ago. I took vitamin C in the morning and before bed. hot water and honey helps the throat. Oj and hot water or cold water with lemon. I was scared to use cough drops so before bed Id garggle with warm salt water and slept a little more errect when I went to bed. It helped alot..good luck :) feel better

You can drink caffeeine free teas, delicious warm soups, vicks on the chest, feet, nose, and neck before bed works wonders! You can have humificater running or vicks plug in. My Dr allowed me to use saline spray and cough drops
