Oh Thank God ! My mom stories are crazy lol
I gave birth exactly 1 week ago n my stomach hardly looks like I was even pregnant. Yes there is a little pooch n a little extra skin cuz hey we had a baby in there lol.but its nothing to be alarmed about..at least in my case.i have a tatoo on my stomach n its still perfect..I thought it would have stretched o something but nope.n I already popped my navel ring back in so dont stress to much..ud b fine!
Idk my two gfs just had their first babies and they actually have no flappy stomach or anything couldn't even tell they had a baby i'm so jealous hope that happens with me lol but if we do get it im sure working out will work its all muscle
It takes time to bounce back but it does go back to normal aside from things like stretch marks. Although if you have a normal easy delivery I wouldnt wait 2-3 months to start working out. My doc told me cause my delivery was normal and easy that at 2 weeks I could start to do some sit ups and crunches!
It really depends on ur body type. My belly went back after 6months to a year. I breastfed for a yr & a half. I actually don't work out much, but I went back to having abs. I also had no stretch marks people never believed a had a baby. Im on #2 now so we will see if I bounce back.
My lower belly had a little more skin aftet my first never got back to pre preggo weight though but I miss my stomach it was my best part! But yeah don't rush anything before doc says ok u can possibly give urself a hernia because ur abdominal muscles stretch out so far during pregnancy it needs time to get back to normal
Right after you have your baby, yes, you'll have a very noticeable pooch. Basically it's just the stretched skin that hasn't yet had a chance to recover. Give it at least a couple months and you'll start seeing a difference, if your tummy was small to begin with.
After that, just take good care of your skin. It will have a lot of work to do trying to get back into decent shape. I'd say after 2-3 months have passed, ask your doctor about starting to do crunches/sit ups/etc. No need to put that area to work before it's ready, plus you'll already be doing some extra activity (wrestling with baby to dress him/her, picking baby up, carrying, putting back down, feeding, burping, etc).
