How can I get contractions to stop?

Hospital said they can't do anything at 18 weeks. Came home and took a lavender/orange doterra oil bath to try and stop the contractions. They are still coming but are spacing out but having period like cramps too... I do NOT want to have our baby:( please can someone tell me how to get them to stop or if one of you ladies have had contractions this early and still made it to their due date or close to it.

I'm calling a new dr tomorrow because they come and go but I can feel baby really low. Contractions were 10minutes a part lasting for a minute when I went in. I'm so glad they got your contractions to stop:). How far along are you?

My midwife told taking a shower will ease off braxton hicks but not labour. Surely it will b a little help though. I was 18w and had early ccontraction drinking water and resting helped. Although I ate heaps of diary and had diariah maybe that is Wat caused it. Idk

Lavender is supposed to be used during labour to encourage contractions, so I'd stop using that.

I've been on bed rest since I was 3 weeks due to contractions. Think I cleaned to much yesterday and pushed myself to far. No more house cleaning!

No sex and lay on your side with a pillow behind you.. Dehydration is one but you already covered that.. I hope everything turns out fine.

Samantha; I asked and they refuse due to it causing further complications before 20 weeks. Travi12: I am so sorry to hear that and wish you the best! Are you ok? Ladies: not dehydrated, I've been drinking tons of water and powerade, and resting. Drs said my urine sample was great. Just hope they can so something in 2 weeks. My friends best friend got sown shut and shots. So they better do something when I go to my appt.

That shot the previous commentor said is a progesterone shot given weekly used to hold off from going into preterm labor. I don't think it will help if u r already in labor. I'm so sorry ur going thru this.. My prayers r with u. My best advise would b to rest as much as possible.

Drink lots and lots of water, dehydration is the most common reason for contractions
