16 1/2 hour with my first because my water broke I was to go immediately. This time I plan on staying home for a while. I was told when you walk around the house it helps quicken the labor..
The actual pushing (10cm) took 45min to get baby out. Labor only like 5hrs
2 hours 12 minutes with my second start to finish, I was induced and labored extremely quickly, and 6 hours 38 minutes with my first went into labor on my own.
With my first I was in labor for 16 hours and 43 mins
I was in labour for 36 hours with my first, on my own at 41 weeks, hoping its alot quicker this time around and earlier too.
My water broke at 10AM on my due date and contractions started within the hour, so I count 10AM as the start of my labor. We left for the birthing center 12 hours later and I delivered my little boy after a total of 21 hours in labor.
Lots of people don't have such a definitive event to determine the start of labor, though. I know a woman who was in prodromal labor for a couple of weeks before it really became active labor but it's hard to pinpoint a time when that happened. It doesn't truly matter how long a labor is except for story-telling purposes.
From my first contraction (I never felt one before that) to delivering I was in labor for 14 hours. I had 2 contractions in one hour and the next hour my water broke. I was only at the hospital for 12 hours though.
I was induced, was in labor for 30 1/2 hours.. I know.. Help us all..
My sister in law labor was about a total of 12hours, yet she didn't go to the hospital right away.. She was having back pains and that's how her labor felt was mainly pains in her lower back.. When her contractions pains got sharper and closer together she went to the hospital mid morning and delivered by 7pm that evening. :) hope that's some help.
