How to increase my milk supply!?

I pumped for the very first time on Thursday, I got 4oz total.
My boobs were huge until I pumped they literally like shrunk :/
And ever since then, when I pump I barely get an ounce to an ounce in a half :/
I really hate that my daughter is having to be on formula cause I can't produce enough.
What are ways or things I can eat/drink to increase my supply?

Every Dr I went to while breastfeeding my four kids asked if I was taking prenatal vitamins and with the first child I was breastfeeding I was taking a women's one a day and a good brand the Dr wrote out a script for prenatal vitamins and said I really need the prenatal while breastfeeding that a one a day is just not good enough.

I also heard that consuming a teaspoons worth of virgin coconut oil also helps with milk production.  I've already been successful at breastfeeding with my first son, but I want to ensure that my milk is of the highest quality for this second one on the way.  I do also plan on consuming oatmeal as well and take my prenatals in conjunction with the above.  Try it it can never hurt..

Increase the amount of time and how often you pump and put baby to breast. When first starting out it is important to put baby to breast there are hormones that help with milk production and let down and baby helps with that. A pump does not give the mothering instinct like baby. It is also important to relax and not be stressed because that will hinder let down and production.

Remember the more milk you need the more you will produce, if you pump and put baby to breast more often even if nothing is coming out it sends signals for your body to make more because baby is needing it.

I heard the more often you pump the more milk the body will produce. Also I think there is a tea you can drink, fenugreek herb I heard works great and last but not least an old wives tale of drinking one beer a day will help up your supply. Also talk yo your doctor I think there is a pill you can take also. I havent had my little one yet but I'm planning on breastfeeding and this is what my friends told me that worked for them.

The more you let your baby nurse and the more you pump and empty the more milk your body makes

Just because that is all you can pump does not mean that is all she is getting. Babies are designed to get the milk out better than pumps. My breasts hardly ever swell with milk once nursing is established and I produce enough milk. If I pump I get about what you described and I have breastfed four out of my five.

For breastfeeding the best things to do.
Take prenatal vitamins
Eat very well balanced meals
Take in more calories
Drink plenty of water
There are supplements that you can take to increase milk supply, look down the baby isle and the vitamin isle to find the supplements and maybe find more than one and use both but make sure they are different.

Keep pumping. That amount is totally normal when starting out. Just keep it up every 2-4 hours. It will begin to increase. I heard fenugreek is good for increasing the amount
