How to prepare for a csec?

Can anyone give me some advice on how to prepare for a csec. I'm 37 weeks and based on my pelvic bones and the size of the baby, i will need a csec. What questions should i ask the doctor before the surgery? What items should I bring with me? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!!

I just got a csection Sunday night due to my water breaking and baby being breech. It l happened so fast! You can stay for 3-4 days I'm planning to stay the full 4 days to take advantage and get as much help as I can from the nurses here. If you plan on breastfeeding it will be hard because you can't sleep as much but I feel like it's so worth it to breastfeed. They give you meds round the clock for pain but make sure you're eating I took some meds and felt really loopy earlier I hated it. Anyways it's been good minus the pain but baby is so worth it good luck hope I helped some :)

Oh,and I just saw my surgeon today and he said no to the anxiety meds. He said a regular surgery no problem but we don't want to pass anything to baby, which I TOTALLY understand. He said since c-secrion babies don't expel all the mucus from lungs, etc like they would during a vaginal delivery we want baby as alert as possible. :)

I would address whether the surgeon stitches or staples (I prefer being stitched) and if you are super nervous maybe ask if they can give you something mild to take the edge off while you are getting prepped (I'm asking this time around). My first section wasn't planned, but, my 2nd was. It was so different. Make sure you tell the anesthesiologist you want the anti nausea meds immediately after getting the spinal. Mine told me to let him know if I felt sick and he would give me something. After dry heaving 5 times while strapped to the table I got some. Better to avoid feeling like that, period! Loose/high waisted undies and the same for pants! Oh, and don't be alarmed if you have shooting/small stabbing pains in your upper back and shoulders later on after surgery. It's gas!!! They should be giving you something regularly for it, though I found it didn't help too too much. Also, as soon as you can get up and walk! It will be difficult and slow going but the sooner you do the better. :)

youll want your shower stuff. your gonna feel like crap after. so a nice shower with your own stuff will make it better you can bring your own diapers but the hospital should give you some till you go home.
what meds will they give you if you have an anxiety attack? I did and they knocked me out . I missed the whole thing and woke up 2 hrs later.
just remember to stay calm. you will do great!
good luck and enjoy baby!!!
