How's Nirvana for a name?

recently I came across the name Nirvana (of Sanskrit origin) for a girl. since we already have a girl name chosen, I was wondering if this wud also work for a male, if we were to have a boy.

as rock / metal lovers, we love that it reminds of the punk-rock band Nirvana.

I'm sure no one in my family will like it, but I dont care.

what do you beautiful ladies think of Nirvana for a boy?

I named my daughter Allegra. It's Italian for joyful....and it's also an OTC allergy med. BUT I have only had like 3 people make the joke. ...most people think it's beAutiful and unique. I happen to think Nirvana is a wonderful name.... but once in a while you'll get the Jokes. Good news is her peers will all be WAY too young to evvvvver have any idea who the band is

If I saw the name without knowing gender, I definitely would think girl. Just my opinion. Ultimately, it only matters what you think.
