Hunting while pregnant...?

Dove season is in September. My husband and i usually go together. My question is... Can you hunt while pregnant? I am due in October, so i will be pretty far along. Will the noise affect the baby? I plan on asking the doctor, but wanted to ask here first.

I've shot it last year but only a few times so it's still new to me and I've been itching this year to get it out lol.. Yes It's a 300 it's a big gun buttt it's a semi automatic so it barely has any kick at all. . That's why I love it so much! I shot my husbands 12 gauge shot gun now there's some kick!  Haha After a dozen shots my shoulder hurt.. won't be shooting that one this year.  I'm 21 weeks on Friday and we usually go to a target range or do clay pigeons that's really close to where we live. I probably won't go actual hunting this year because we go up north and it's pretty close to when I am due. Oh well. . Always next year.

Be careful w a 300 if you havent shot it before!  They always hurt.my shoulder at first. How far are.you? If your not that big yet then go for it I'm almost 15,wks and I'd do it now but not.much longer. My favorite is.my 10 gauge Beretta. But I won't be using that anytime.soon. :-)

It will be in a field. My boss has a farm right off of the main road. I won't be travelling far. I will be using a 20 gauge. I am happy to hear that i am not the only one that enjoys hunting and shooting. Good hunting everyone! :)

Just be careful with guns u use. As some have a kick back. And make sure u are close to a hospital.  With u being so far along u don't want to go into labor in the middle of nowhere.... I personally wouldn't go being so close but that's just me. Take care

I was wondering about this too! I love hunting.  My husband, my family and I go every year. . We hunt moose, Elk,  Mule and white tail deer and my dad got a bear tag this year.  We go hunting around when I am due so we will see how it goes buttt I just bought a new gun a 300 semi auto browning and I wanted to try it out so bad but didn't know if I could or not.  Soo that's awesome to read this!  :)

Go for it. We are big hunters too. The.only thing I won't do is go up into.my.tree stand and bear or boar hunt pregnant. They're too dangerous of animals so I'll be waiting for them.... But there.is no reason why you can't!!

I love shooting for sport. And what I was told was the lead is the dangerous aspect of it. So I am avoiding it. :(

I am a big hunter and shooter too. I have avoided it but with fall squirrel season coming up and the big family hunt I can't miss is. It is in the middle of august and I am due in September so we will see how it goes. And it is almost time to start lining up the rifles for deer season which we usually do in Sept but probably putting off til after my lil guy gets here. My doctor said everything would be fine as long as I could get in touch with my hubby if I needed him.

I'd be more worried about walking and hiking... Noise shouldn't be an issue at all. Baby might like the surprise noises. I went deer hunting when I was 8 months. I definitely got tired fast but I still enjoyed it:)

Oh an noise from the gun? Ive been out shooting numerous times and had not issues. They are so surrounded by fluid it wont bother their ear drums.  You might get a jump and startle but my baby usually just get still till I'm done than back to normal.movements lol

I've seen women out and about hunting deer elk and what not at 8/9ish months. I'd say as long as you're not too far away from doc/hospital ot could be good for you even. Good feesh air,  walking, and time in nature. Just know your limits and be careful.  Good luck on the hunt!!! :-)
