I go back to the hospital this evening to get my second betamethasone shot and I dont want to go.. it is so painful and I have to get it in the hip and I got my 17p shot yesturday in the same hip their giving my shot tonight! I know its for my babygirl yo mature her lungs but Im jus not looking forward to it.. okay rant over. Lol
Im 33 weeks today. Im used to the 17p shot the steroid shots are awful. I heard that some doctors will not stop it at 35/36 weeks but idk.
Like at what gestational age?
They gave me procardia for uterine irritability. Dr will be in at noon to see me and maybe discharge me. But really? 6 inj. Lol I'm tired of the terbutaline inj.

How many weeks r u? Ask them to use a bigger gauge needle and to give it slower. I get 17P every week also and this helped. They were using a smaller needle n just trying to push it threw so quickly made it hurt really bad.
The first one they gave me was awful i jumped and they used a smaller needle and I didnt feel the stick as bad but the medicine burned so bad I was squeezing a pillow. How are things your way?
