Stitches and healing

ftm, just had my baby girl two days ago, and I was healing well and got discharged today but I've been moving a lot and now my swelling is bad and it's almost unbearable to pee, my bleeding has lightened and I've tried soaking in the tub but, has anyone else had this problem and not had an infection or anything bad? I don't know if it's normals my doc told me to keep up with my meds and to get checked when I go visit my daughter in the nicu tomorrow (she just had surgery) in just nervous of infection

Seabeeswife, I am so thankful to you right now. I am trying for a  Vbac in a week and my sister scared me to death about the discomfort and "burning" during the healing process. I looked up padsicles and saved the instructions. Will be making these this weekend!

Witch hazel mixed with water can help. Also taking an anti-inflammatory is now safe. Something like ibuprofin or motrin. They gave me that at the hospital so it helped a lot. If you use a Peri bottle and spray water mixed with witch hazel (1oz witch hazel to 7oz water) on the stiches while you pee it can make it not hurt so much.

Ice packs!  Or Google "padsiciles" and it'll show you how to make them. The ice packs were my life saver
