IV pain meds question

so how well does the pain meds work thru iv..?I think I remember the iv pain meds making me sleepy and when I woke up it was time to push.I never had the epidural.. and I don't think I want it..

mw89 lol..yes girl I think it made me super drowsy its been 10,years since them and I can't remember my daughter's birth I just remember waking up and pushing.. lol..I don't know what was in that IV..

It just made me high as a kite. I go natural now. I tr a way better and I actually remember my childs birth

every woman is completely different I'm sorta like you I got the IV the first part of my pains. I didn't fall asleep I was awake the whole time lol u were just luky. I awaited towards the end when I was about 8Cm dilated to get the epidural. we are just very lucky not to feel as much pain as the other woman:)

The IV medication did nothing for me, but every body is different and reacts differently to medicine. I opted to get the epidural because of the pain.
