I bled for a week and a half then two weeks later it started up again for two more weeks.

After my c-section I bled about half the time you would with vaginal birth about 4 weeks.

I think I bled for about 3wks after. It did slow and start again during that time. I also did get my period back for 4mths even tho I stopped breastfeeding after 4wks, I've heard thats a little longer then normal but for some women it can take a while. Weeks....several weeks. It can taper off and then start up again too. Just watch for clots larger than a golf ball, fever or excessive cramping/pain. Your placenta was surgically removed so sometimes they miss a piece and it causes infection. Jusy take it easy. If you're not bleeding heavily then start all tbe sudden it means you're doing too much...REST.
