Question about after a miscarriage

So I don't know how many of you seen my posts about possibly being pregnant. Well it turned out I was but my hormone levels were decreasing on blood tests. Well the bleeding from the miscarriage started yesterday and is very very heavy and the cramps are horrible. I was 4-5 weeks pregnant. My questions are: I feel super emotional like I did after I had my daughter is that normal?? And my other question is can I try again right away or do I need to wait??

When I called doctor when the heavy bleeding started he just said there was nothing they could do and that my body would do what it needed. When I had my miscarriage at 8 weeks in 2003 I had to have a D&C and almost a blood transfusion. I'm hoping the bleeding slows down soon but it has only been 24 hours. Anyone know how long I should expect to bleed??

Thanks.

If you feel like you are lossing to much blood go to the er. Esp if you feel dizzy , if you lye down it was slow it up a bit. Try a heating pad and pain killers for the pain.
I started having my miscarriage at 5 weeks and my 6 weeks everything was gone, but i bleed a lot. I believe i bleed for two weeks, and then started my.cycle about a month later. My cycle was heavier and slso more cramping at first.
This all happened in sept and how im 9 weeks this week. My doc said waiting a couple cycles to try again.

If it doesn't slow down after today. I would probably go in to the er to be safe. Sometimes there could be something else going on to cause the bleeding after a certain point.  Keep us updated.

Sorry for your loss. My doctor made me wait 3 cycle before trying again. I cried. For days. And bleed for about a week. Hang in there.

Thanks for all your help and support. I'm still bleeding fairly heavy just hoping it dies down soon. When should I start worrying about bleeding so heavy? I'm not going through a pad an hour but maybe every 2 hours. And when I go to the bathroom there is just so much. I'm getting close to 48 hours so is it still normal for it to be this heavy. Thanks again and sorry so many questions. I had a D&C after my first one but the bleeding was way heavier than this.

Yes very emotional roller coaster. Old wives tale, say to wait a year to make sure everything has passed. I would give yourself as much time as you need.

No matter what, your hormones were elevated. Besides its a loss. Those combined, its amazing women seem to hold it together as well as they do.

Thanks for the advice. With how emotional I am right now I think I need the time to heal. I just didn't know if it was normal to be this emotional with such an early miscarriage.

I bled for about 4 days after the really painful part. I was told to give myself an entire cycle to let my body heal. So I went through the next month trying to heal emotionally as well as physically. After I had a normal period, we started trying again. That month I got this one to stick. I'm 15w now. I was told for 6 months after a m/c that you are more likely to get pregnant again. I'm sorry for your loss and am praying for a quick recovery and a sticky bean.
