I'm back! Need Advice!

I think I have mastitis!  I've got a cracked nipple and I just seen yellow-infection like liquid coming out (a little). I'm going to call the clinic tomorrow but I was wondering what I should do! I feel like I'm a failure as a mother! I dont want to pump! I wanted to strictly breast feed but now I need my nipple to heal:(

Very cold cabbage leaves. It only takes a few and only for a few minutes. No more than 10 minutes at a time or else your milk can dry up. I was skeptical but it works. Don't know how but it really was a miracle,  it cleared up within an hour and my fever went away right after.

My friend said that she got breastheater pads wich is made from avent. It sort of warms ur breast so it dosnt get har and infected. It goes in like a breastpad and it will wamr u up and when its cold it will change colure so U know its cold and needs heating again. Mabe U should get that..saves U alot of trips to the shower;)

Even standing in the shower and letting the hot water hit your breast and massaging it will help a lot! Don't get discouraged tho. A lot of moms go thru it and you will overcome it and be able to breastfeed. Hang in there. It will get better.

With mastitis ur boob will feel like a rock and very tender and ull get a fever I had it 3xs and 1st went on antibiotics but since im allergic to amoxicillin* I had to go on stuff where I pumped n dumped for 10 days. If it mastitis feed that baby ALOT and then lump afterwards while masaging (yeah itll hurt) with a heating pad on and in the shower to break it up Tylenol for the fever and pain and just keep at it if u dont wanna go to doc right away . I was also told putting cabbage leaves on ur boob until it wilted is a miracle cure but I never felt like grocery shopping in pain and feeling like I had the flu dont give up!

I had mastitis & thrush at the same time with my last. It's hell :(

i had mastitis with my daughter and i tried to pump it out, but i wasn't able to. ended up with a horrible infection and ten days antibiotics.

Red and swollen:( I just pumped and he took the bottle well. I hope in a few days I'll be done pumping!

Pump chica.. get it out.. i had that with my first..omg does it hurt. Are your breast super warm?Stand in a hot shower and let the water beat on them.. truly the only relief is to pump.. if baby can't do it.. Good luck..
