I'm going insane!!

Hi there. I've had this horrible cold for nearly a month now and all my midwife said I could take was cough drops and something else that I can't remember for the life of me. My cold only acts up at nightime never during the day. I really want to sleep a full night in my bed with my hubby instead of sleeping on the couch (sitting upright). Anyone been told anything else besides cough drops??

Could be allergies?! I had the same problem and that's what my Dr said it was and prescribed zyrtec. Since then I've been just fine

Juice from a whole lemon, fill the mug with hot water, spoonful of honey and siracha (or chaynne pepper and garlic)
I swear it killed my cold this winter.
Also Sinus Rinse is great.

Thanks everyone. Thankfully I havent taken any meds and have barring through it. Unfortunately I'm allergic to pineapple, but I have been doing the hot showers. It worked one day. Got rid of a TON of mucus. It may be allergies, but I only get "sick" at night which is very strange for my allergies.  I'm thankful for your advices.  Good luck to you guys too.

I think the only painkiller u can take is Tylenol. Try hot showers before bed to clear up the mucus. Sounds strange, but eat pineapple before bed. It helps cut mucus as well. Keep up with the cough drops. Get plenty of sleep and water! Drink Gatorade if you have to. The more rest you let yourself have, the sooner your body can heal. Also, are you sure it's a cold and not allergies? It's that time of the year and colds usually don't last a month! Either way, good luck!

Nothing that does any good. Nothing for sore throat or cough.
