I take zantac too, I die without it. Only four weeks left, can't wait!

Go to a health food store and in the weighted herb section get slippery elm (its a powder) mix a teaspoon or two in a shot glass of water, mix and down it quickly. This coats your esophagus weigh a natural gel  (if you wait too long to drink it it will congeal in the glass)
When you talk to your doctor about it they may tell you it is an abortofascien ( sorry about the spelling) but it's important to note that it is not the outer  Bark, it's the inner bark which is safe to use in pregnancy (not to mention the outer bark only causes miscarriage if inserted vaginally) a doctor well educated in alternative medicine will understand this. Anyway I used it wit both pregnancies and its amazing, and doesn't cause malabsorption like antacids can.

I love Zantac! Lol my Dr allowed me 150mg twice a day and it's been a life saver.

I'm so glad I'm not alone. Tums help, but later on I get nauseous. I've been through a lot of stress lately, and I'm sure that isn't helping.

Im constantly having the very same problem!
I take a tums or rolaids or something then I drink a glass of milk to wash it down. Does the trick!
I mean it comes back later but this often allows me to get to sleep

Definitely not alone. I bought a new bottle of tums and 2 rolls for my purse.  I'm 29 weeks today, both rolls are gone and the bottle is almost empty too!

I have severe acid reflux without being pregnant so know exactly how you feel. Tums will not stop the acid -- don't kid yourself on taking too many of those. Talk to your Dr. first, but I have been taking Zantac twice a day to help. Drinking water, a lot will help. Think about your diet - time of day you may be eating, how many meals, and what you're consuming. A spoonful of vinegar will instantly blast the acid back down - yeah, not tasty, but nor is acid constantly.

This is my second pregnancy and I have used prilosec for acid reflux for both.  Every doctor knows I take it and they haven't said not to take it or anything. It REALLLLLLLY helps!!
