Is Sex Safe?

So I was reading through some posts & one was about going into labor after sex...now I'm afraid! I'm only 11 weeks, Ftm,  & don't want to risk anything. Our first ob/gyn is Thursday but I'm curious, can you miscarry because of intercourse?

I found out I was pregnant at five weeks we'd been having sex those weeks... everything was ok.
I'm high risk and we've had sex throughout the last 23weeks of pregnancy - nobody told us not to!

My doc did ask were we still active and I said yes- that was it. She might stop us after 30wks incase but right now nothing to worry about.

You won't go into labour from sex this early in pregnancy so don't worry about that - but do speak to your dr.
And I've never heard of miscarriage because of sex usually theres something wrong for miscarriage but do ask your dr.

Best of luck

I had sex first Time since finding out I was pg. Since then I have been bleeding. Nurse said since it was brown blood it was okay. Well a day later it is now red blood. I had my labs checked and my hcg levels showed I was 5-6 weeks pg, today. Going back on Thursday for blood drawn to check my progesterone levels, and to see if my hcg has increased. I hadn't had one spot of blood before this. I read that some women to bleed a little after intercourse. In my case it had been almost 1 month since intercourse. My friend told me she spotted throughout pg. Right now, I can feed blood coming out, like I am having a period. I am try I g to keep positive until my appt on Thursday. From what I have I th I k I am having a miscarriage, but I do t want to believe it, and I hope I'm not. This is my first pregnancy. Dr told me today no sex until, I have more results. I wish I had waited a little longer.

Sex is perfectly safe throughout your whole pregnancy as long as your pregnancy is healthy and not high risk, in some cases it can cause problems but I've never heard of miscarriage. My husband and I have been enjoying sex, and not gentle sex I may add, my whole pregnancy, it had brought on braxton hick contractions buy so does having a full bladder for me. I'm 32 weeks. Talk to your doctor if your concerned.
