Just means that the placenta is by your cervix. If it doesn't move then you will have a c-section to prevent bleeding. If you are not spotting then I wouldn't be too worried. Just follow the recommendations from your doc. I was told the same thing at around 16 weeks. Good luck.

Yup ^^^^ she is right did they place you on bed rest? They told me the same thing but my doctor told me not to do ANYTHING that will make my body over work itself. So all I did was get up to pee, eat, and shower. I cooked but kept a chair to sit on I will be 27 weeks tomorrow and I no longer have that issue. If you don't take care of yourself they will have to plan a c- section or you could go into premature labor. I hope im not scaring you, just letting you know what my doctor told. Just make sure to eat right, take your prenatal's and don't do any big or heavy movements. good luck

Are you bleeding?  Or is this just something they spotted on the US?

My.mother in law had this. Please have your doctors check you regularly. Hers burst and if her doctor didn't get to her within that tiny.period it burst her and.her son would have died. It's very high.risk from what I was seen and.told by her and that whole pregnancy. Sorry so not trying to scare you here just saying what I've personally know about.It.

I had this at the beginning of my pregnancy and by 28 weeks it had moved up completely out of the way. They'll just check to make sure it's not covering your cervix starting in the last month or two before you're due.

Same. I was told the same earlier on, but now it's completely out of the way. Only problem left to deal with is a breech baby. Good luck to you and yours.

I have this, it was found on my last ultrasound July 16th. My doctor never put me on bed rest cause I'm not having any bleeding or irregular pain. I will have more ultrasounds to see if it changes if not I'll be delivering via c section. Just don't over do it.
