Is my baby going to be okay?!!

I'm 26 weeks and I just ate amberjack fish and after I ate 2 pieces of it my sister tells me some type of fish isn't safe during pregnancy so I looked it up and amberjack is NOT safe to eat during pregnancy because it's a predator fish and it has high levels of mercury. So I'm freaking out thinking it's going to kill my baby!

You have to be eating fish everyday to have a problem from mercury

Honestly mercury levels would not have immediate effects as far as I know... I are some fish known for high mercury before I knew I was pg and my Dr assured me it was OK that it just shouldn't happen often... Call your Dr to check so you can not feel so stressed but I'd say you are ok

you will be fine - just don't eat it everyday. eating it once really isn't a problem. It has lots of Omega 3 too, which is really good for the baby
