I am 38 weeks and yesterday morning @ 10 am went to my ob appt and was having contractions 5 mins apart but was told that i will have to go home and kick start labor on my own since i am only 1cm dialted and wait till im contracting at least 3 to 4 mins apart... it is now 1am 15 hours later and i have done everything u can imagine and i havent been able to make my contractions come closer together...ive been in pain all day even when ive decided to take a break everything hurts...i feel pressure and burning in my pelvic but am pretty stuck on what to do next...i just cant take this pain and discomfort anymore...im sorry if i might sound like a baby but im so tiny and this is definitely taking a toll on my body...any suggestions ladies!?

Definitely warm baths and walking are the best!  Also a heat pack on your lower back up ease some of the pain!

Take a warm bath. Sometimes it helps sometimes it doesn't but it will at least relax you and sometimes relaxing can make things speed up. Something about a warm bath also make it not hurt so bad.
